Moira’s senior portraits with snow & the city
It was the very last snow fall of the season, which lasted longer than expected in Kansas City. Moira got out of the car and pulled out her red guitar for her Kansas City senior portrait session. I knew she played, but the joy of what I was about to photograph finally hit me. Red guitar, black and grey dress fit for an orchestra performer, and the snow. Each item of clothing had sentimental value, gifts from family members and items Moira loved. She was herself: joyful, innocent, kind, and creative. When I was growing up my grandmother called me a Unique, years later that same phrase was used in a Richard Gere movie, Autumn in New York, to describe Winona Ryder’s loving character. Today I am applying it to Moira, she is a Unique!
On the second session Moira brought her friend along, and while on the roof looking at the Kansas City Skyline, the two had quite the adventure, strutting their stuff. We even have an inside joke “Russian Mafia” anyone?
Lets get “Back to the Future” and see these wonderfully creative senior portraits!
