Destination Wedding Photographers in North Carolina
We absolutely love being Destination Wedding Photographers. Of all the places we have seen, North Carolina’s Outer Banks has some of our favorite wedding locations. Part of the charm is due to the huge variety of outdoor wedding options. First of all, there are sail boats that dock at Manteo Waterfront Marina. They can make your sunset wedding on the water a dream come true. Second of all is the Lighthouse on Cape Hatteras, the tallest brick lighthouse in North America. It is one of three perfect places in the OBX for lighthouse weddings. Third of all, are the miles of sandy beaches that are open to the public. There are so many perfect spots for beach weddings overlooking the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean, that it’s hard to choose just one!
Destination Wedding Activities
While wedding guests will enjoy the incredible scenery, they will also have access to some seriously delicious food. So, make sure to try The Lost Colony Brewery and Cafe and Kill Devil Grill, which are musts for anyone attending a beach wedding in the area. The Outer Banks also has comfy vacation homes built on stilts, like the one featured in The Nights of Rodanthe. Many of these are available for weddings to rent. While we had an excellent time eating, driving up and down the coastal highway, and exploring the colonial town on Roanoke Island, our favorite thing to do was walk the miles of calm sandy beaches. There’s nothing quite the same as soaking up the sun while breathing that OBX ocean breeze.
Beach Wedding Photos
Our photo session was at the foot of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, and the exquisite beach that surrounds it. We were excited to find that the lighthouse has an outdoor ceremony setup, and beautiful sand dunes that are covered in beach vegetation. The stunning images are below. Thank you to our fabulous models, Kristian and Israel, we can’t wait to see you again when we return to OBX!
